This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you register an account, utilize our courses and tutorials, download resources, or engage with our community via comments.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you directly provide to us, as well as data automatically generated through your interaction with CCDevs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We utilize the collected information for the following primary purposes:

• Authentication & Security: To securely manage your user account, authorize logins (including Google OAuth), and track premium access permissions.
• Community Engagement: To render your chosen avatar and display name next to your public comments on blog posts and lessons.
• Spam & Abuse Moderation: Using IP hashes, user agents, and honeypot fields to filter spam, detect bot behavior, and keep the community constructive.
• Personalization: To remember your site configurations, dashboard preferences, and progress tracking on courses.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

CCDevs uses local storage and cookies to maintain active authentication sessions (via Supabase) and preserve essential user state. These cookies do not track your behavior on external websites and are used solely to deliver a responsive, authenticated experience.

5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We integrate trusted modern service providers to power key application systems:

• Supabase: For cloud database hosting, server-side media bucket uploads, and user authentication infrastructure.
• DiceBear: To retrieve procedurally generated custom avatars based on profile seeds.
• Google Identity: For optional, passwordless OAuth login services.

6. Data Security & Retention

All user profiles, media assets, and comments are stored securely within Supabase's PostgreSQL database with active Row-Level Security (RLS) policies. We retain user account information as long as your account remains active. Comments and community content will remain visible on the site unless deleted by the author or removed by an administrator during moderation (including soft-delete flags).

7. Your Rights and Controls

You hold total control over your profile details. You can update your display name, email address, password, website link, and avatar preferences directly within your Profile dashboard at any time. If you wish to permanently delete your account, please submit a request, and we will wipe your profile records from our databases.
